DU Undergraduate Commerce Eligibility Criteria for CUET

Delhi University has recently unveiled its admission policy for the upcoming academic session, in compliance with the newly mandated CUET notification. This notification requires CUET for admissions not only to Delhi University but also for prestigious institutions like JNU and other Central Universities. The integration of CUET in the admission process aims to ensure a streamlined and standardized selection procedure across these participating institutions.
The Delhi University has recently published an admission brochure which contains crucial information, rules, and regulations regarding the process. Candidates are advised to carefully review and familiarize themselves with the eligibility requirements of the program(s) they are applying for before submitting their applications.
The Vice-Chancellor of DU has emphasized that the university reserves the right to make changes or modifications to the admission policy without prior notice. Therefore, it is imperative for candidates to regularly monitor the university website for any updates or additional information.
Delhi University Admission Criteria 2025 for UG Programs
  • The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • The applicant must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exams from any board of education in India or any foreign country recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  • 10% of Supernumerary seats in each program are reserved for Foreign Nationals. Candidates seeking admission through Foreign Students' category are required to apply on Foreign Students' Registry website: http://fsr.du.ac.in
  • Candidates belonging to Sikh and Christian minorities can seek admission under the minority quota in minority colleges of DU. However, candidates must appear in CUET 2025.
  • Admissions to the School of Open Learning (SOL) and NCWEB will be based on Class 12 marks. For admissions to these, candidates must register themselves through www.admission.uod.ac.in
Eligibility Requirements for Undergraduate Programs
B.Com (Hons)

  • Combination I: Anyone Language from List A + Mathematics + Any two subjects out of which at least one shouldbe from List B1.
  • Combination II: Any one Language from List A + Accountancy + Any two subjects out of which at least one shouldbe from List B1.
  • Merit will be based on the best CUET scores obtained from any aforementioned combinations.

B.Com
Commerce is envisioned as a bridge connecting society and business. The nature and purpose of their relationship have changed dramatically throughout time. Candidates must appear in CUET in any of the following subject combinations:
  • Combination I: Any one Language from List A + Any two subjects from List B1 + Any one subject from ListB1 or List B2.
  • Combination II: Any one Language from List A + Any one subject from List B1 or List B2 + SECTION III ofCUET (General Aptitude Test).
  • Merit will be based on the best CUET scores obtained from any aforementioned combinations.
  • Note: As the weightage of the CUET Sections is not the same, appropriate proration will be done.
BMS
