With CUET notification, Delhi University released its admission policy for the upcoming academic session since CUET is now mandatory for admissions to Central Universities, Delhi University, JNU and other participating institutions.
The released Delhi University admission brochure has all the important information, rules, and regulations. Before applying, candidates must go through it and be throrugh with the program's eligibility requirements they are applying to.
The Vice-Chancellor DU also said that the university is liable to make any changes or modifications in the admission policy without prior notice. Thus, candidates must keep a check the university website for more information.
Delhi University Admission Criteria 2023 for UG Programs
- The applicant must be a citizen of India.
- The applicant must have passed Class 12 or equivalent exams from any board of education in India or any foreign country recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- 10% of Supernumerary seats in each program are reserved for Foreign Nationals. Candidates seeking admission through Foreign Students' category are required to apply on Foreign Students' Registry website: http://fsr.du.ac.in
- Candidates belonging to Sikh and Christian minorities can seek admission under the minority quota in minority colleges of DU. However, candidates must appear in CUET 2023.
- Admissions to the School of Open Learning (SOL) and NCWEB will be based on Class 12 marks. For admissions to these, candidates must register themselves through www.admission.uod.ac.in
Eligibility Requirements for Undergraduate Programs
B.Com (Hons)
The curriculum aims to equip and empower students to gain information, skills, and talents to analyze and synthesize modern business realities. This course focuses on preserving and sustaining current firms in the face of change and competition and providing a much-needed perspective on long-term growth. This curriculum seeks to establish conceptual awareness in students to educate them to deal with today's business reality and to drive and meet the challenges of tomorrow. It also introduces students to technology and digitalization in the appropriate subject, as experts and policymakers envision. This course is aimed to assist foster an entrepreneurial mentality and capabilities, as mandated by the Government of India.
Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must appear in CUET in any of the following subject combinations:
- Combination I: Anyone Language from List A + Mathematics + Any two subjects out of which at least one shouldbe from List B1.
OR
- Combination II: Any one Language from List A + Accountancy + Any two subjects out of which at least one shouldbe from List B1.
- Merit will be based on the best CUET scores obtained from any aforementioned combinations.
B.Com
Commerce is envisioned as a bridge connecting society and business. The nature and purpose of their relationship have changed dramatically throughout time. The evolution of information technology has reshaped the structure and design of the business, resulting in a metamorphosis of its basic essence and the matrix of social functioning. They recognize the ramifications of this transition. The B.Comprogram seeks to instil in students an awareness of the workings and underlying principles of the business world. To that end, the curriculum provides students with the chance to learn about many elements of organizational functioning, financial systems, economic knowledge, business regulations, business strategies, etc.

- Combination I: Any one Language from List A + Any two subjects from List B1 + Any one subject from ListB1 or List B2.
