What is DU CSAS 2027?
CSAS is the single-window system for seat allocation-cum-admission to all regular UG programmes across DU colleges, departments, or centres. Admissions are based solely on CUET UG 2027 scores (programme-specific merit), subject to eligibility criteria in the Bulletin of Information(BOI), category, preferences filled by the candidate, and seat availability.
Key principles:
  • Candidates must have appeared in CUET (UG) in the relevant Language or Domain-Specific subjects (and/or General Aptitude Test where applicable) corresponding to Class XII subjects (with similarity rules if needed).
  • Only one board’s Class XII marksheet is used for minimum eligibility; multiple boards may be considered for subject mapping in some cases.
  • Allocation considers the highest possible preference matching the candidate’s merit, category, and available seats.
  • Supernumerary seats (ECA, Sports, CW, Ward, Orphan, Single Girl Child, etc.) follow additional rules and are not interchangeable with regular seats.
Note: It does not apply to SOL, NCWEB, or foreign nationals (separate processes).

What It Means
Freeze
Confirm the allotted seat and exit the subsequent seat allocation rounds. Choose this option if you are satisfied with your allotted programme and college.
Upgrade
Retain the current seat while remaining eligible for a higher-preference programme or college in the next allocation rounds. If upgraded, the new seat is allotted automatically as per DU guidelines.
Tip: Choose Freeze only if you do not wish to participate in further rounds. Select Upgrade if you want to be considered for a higher-preference programme or college while keeping your current seat secure.
Important Points & Common Mistakes to Avoid
Delhi University has officially released these key points to help you avoid mistakes when filling out your registration form, and Hitbullseye has also featured some common mistakes made by candidates.
  • Keep all required documents ready before registration, especially category certificates (OBC-NCL/EWS/SC/ST/PwBD) and ensure they are valid as per DU guidelines.
  • Prepare your preference list carefully. Arrange your list of college and course combinations in the order of preference.  The order of colleges or courses cannot be modified once the preference-filling window closes.
  • Verify that your name, parents' names, date of birth, and other personal details match your official documents. If there is any discrepancy, arrange the required supporting documents or affidavit in advance, if applicable.
  • Regularly check the CSAS dashboard and your registered email/SMS for important announcements, queries, and seat allotment updates.
  • Accept the allotted seat and pay the admission fee within the prescribed deadline to avoid losing your allotted seat.
  • Do not withdraw or cancel your admission without understanding the implications, as it may affect your participation in subsequent admission rounds.
  • Read the University of Delhi's official admission guidelines before participating in Mid-Entry or Spot Admission, as the eligibility rules may differ from the regular admission rounds.

FAQs on CSAS DU 2027
Q: What is DU CSAS Mid-Entry?
A: DU CSAS Mid-Entry is a special registration window introduced by the University of Delhi for eligible candidates who missed or could not complete the regular CSAS admission process. By paying the prescribed Mid-Entry fee (if applicable), such candidates may be allowed to participate in the remaining seat allocation rounds, subject to the University's admission guidelines and seat availability.
Q: What are Spot Rounds in DU CSAS?
A: The University of Delhi conducts Spot Rounds in DU CSAS to fill the vacant seats after the regular rounds of seat allocation. Eligible candidates can participate by filling fresh preferences for the available seats within timeline. Candidates allotted a seat in a Spot Round shall accept the seat and complete the admission process within the stipulated time limit.0
Q: What are Simulated Ranks in DU CSAS?
A: Simulated Ranks are provisional ranks released by the University of Delhi before the first seat allocation round. They give candidates an estimate of their admission chances based on their CUET UG score, programme preferences, category, and other submitted choices.
Q: How should I prepare my preference list for DU CSAS?
A: Enter your DU CSAS preference list with your programme and college combinations in your genuine order of preference (most preferred at the top). Rather than restricting your choices, list as many of the eligible preferences as possible. Do not sort your preferences based solely on expected cut-offs as the final seat allocation depends on your CUET UG score, eligibility, category, preference order, and availability of seats. Look at your list carefully before the deadline, as you cannot change the preferential order once the window closes.
Q: If I applied to CUET under one category and now want to register for CSAS under another category, can I do that?
A: Yes, the category you select in CUET UG registration will not get auto-filled in the DU CSAS form. If you are eligible, you may apply for a different category in the CSAS portal and upload a valid category certificate in the prescribed format as required by the University of Delhi.
