Introduction to CUET 2026
In India, there were many exams for UG before 2021, but after this, the NTA introduced the CUET UG exam, which is one exam for 500 universities. Students just have to take this CUET 2026 exam for Central Universities, Private Universities and Deemed Universities.     Minimum Marks: 45% (General), 40% (SC/ST/OBC).

Section I (Domain-Specific Subject)
In the Domain Specific Subject section, a total of 23 subjects are offered by NTA for CUET. ‘Entrepreneurship’, ‘Teaching Aptitude’, ‘Fashion Studies’, ‘Tourism’, ‘Legal Studies’ and ‘Engineering Graphics’ are to be discontinued. Section II (IA & IB) – Language Section
The language section of the CUET exam evaluates candidates on their reading comprehension skills based on different types of passages, including factual, literary, and narrative ones. It also includes Verbal Ability, Rearranging the Parts, Choosing the Correct Word, Synonyms, Antonyms, and Vocabulary.

CUET 2026 Application Process 
Step 1: Registration
  • Register online and note the system-generated Application Number.
  • Provide personal details, set a password, and select a security question.
  • This Application Number is essential for completing the process.
Step 2: Completing the Application Form
  • Log in using the Application Number and password.
  • Fill in personal, educational, and exam details.
  • Upload required documents:
    • Photograph: 80% face visible, white background (10–200 kb).
    • Signature: JPG/JPEG format (4–30 kb).
    • PwD Certificate (if applicable).
Step 3: Fee Payment
  • Pay online via Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI (GST applies).
  • A Confirmation Page is generated after successful payment. If not, contact the bank/payment gateway.
  • Ensure all details are correct—no changes allowed post-submission.
  • Use a valid email and mobile number for NTA updates.
  • Only one application per candidate (except for twins).
  • No need to send physical documents to NTA.
