CUET (UG) – 2026 has been designed in consonance with NEP, where students will be able to choose the subjects for taking the test, and each University will be able to see each student’s individual subject scores in subjects and admit students into their programmes based on their score in different subjects and languages.
Do I need to take the CUET (UG) – 2026 in order to apply to a Central University-affiliated college?
Yes. The CUET (UG) – 2026 score is mandatory for admission to Central Universities. Admission to affiliated colleges will also be determined solely by CUET (UG) – 2026 Score.
Will I get weightage for my Class 12 Board marks in admissions?
No, admission through CUET (UG) – 2026 will purely be based on CUET (UG) – 2026 scores in different Subjects/languages/ General Test reflected in the scorecard. However, minimum eligibility conditions of various Universities take into account the percentage of combinations of subjects as per the course/ programmes.

After the applications are submitted successfully, a correction window (February 2-4, 2026) will open to ensure candidates are able to edit if any changes are needed. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is a single window to get admission into various UG courses provided by participating universities.
